Applications are invited into the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law.

THE Ph.D PROGRAMME
PhD students benefit from the supervision of internationally renowned experts, secondary supervisors, classes in legal theory and research and presentation skills, seminars and library facilities. The duration of the study period, including the six months of research proposal processing, is three years for full-time and five years for part-time candidates.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The following shall be eligible for registration for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy:

1. A holder of the Master of Laws degree of Ruaha University College.
2. A holder of a Master of Laws degree of any other recognized University.
   
   SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

1. All application letters for postgraduate training at the Ruaha University College should be submitted to the Director of Postgraduate Studies.
2. A standard Application Form of Ruaha University College should be dully filled and submitted, accompanied with referees’ reports, copies of transcripts and certificates, including secondary school certificates and evidence of an application fee.
3. Two academic reports from referees regarding suitability for postgraduate studies are required. The referees should send the reports confidentially to the Deputy Principal of Academics with a copy to the Director of Postgraduate Studies.

Once the applicant has obtained and filled in the form, he/she should pay Tsh 20,000 directly into either the College Bank Ac. No. 028101001384 NBC Iringa Branch, Diocese of Iringa – SAUT or Ac. No. 020-0000271 Tanzania Postal Bank, Ac. Name: Ruaha University College. Non-Tanzanians should pay Euro 22 in Bank Account No. 019J2071042600 held at CRDB Iringa Branch, Ac. The deadline for all applications is 15 September 2010.
