B: SPECIFIC PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

a)       Direct Entry qualifications listed in (A) above must include at least a “C” grade in English at the “O” level.

OR

b)       The Equivalent qualifications which are:-

• A Diploma in Law from an accredited/recognized institution of not less than second-class and  must  have an “O” level credit pass of at least “C” grade in English;  OR
• A Certificate in Law from an accredited/recognized University passed with distinction and must have “O” level credit pass of at least “C” grade in English; OR

 

2. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Information Systems)

 (a) Direct Entry Qualifications:

Two Principal passes in Science subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Biology or Geography.

(b)        Equivalent Qualifications:

An appropriate Diploma with” B” average, Credit or higher grade.

 

3. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Software Engineering)

(a) Direct Entry Qualifications:

Two Principal passes in Science subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Biology or Geography.

(b)        Equivalent Qualifications:

An appropriate Diploma with” B” average, Credit or higher grade.

 

4. Bachelor of Environmental Health Sciences with Information Technology (BEHSIT)

(a) Direct Entry Qualifications:

Two Principal passes in Biology, Chemistry or Geography.

(b) Equivalent Qualifications:

An appropriate Diploma with” B” average, Credit or higher grade.

 

5. Bachelor of Accounting and Finance with Information Technology (BAFIT)

a). Direct Entry:

1)       Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or East Africa Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Or equivalent with passes in 5 approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting of ACSEE.

2)       At least 2 A-level principal passes (with weight at least 4.5) in Accountancy, Commerce, Economics or Mathematics.

b) Equivalent Qualification:

An appropriate Diploma with B average, Credit or Higher grade.

 

6. Bachelor of Arts in Education – BA(Ed),

Preferably with a teaching subject major in English or Kiswahili and minor in Language/Geography/ History/ Economics. Non-language combinations are also acceptable.

  (a) Direct Entry Qualifications listed in 1 (A) must include:

At least 5 “O” level passes (or three credits) one of which must be English Language; and at  least  two  principal  level  passes (D  and  above ) at  “A”  level  OR  equivalent.

   (b) Equivalent Qualification:

Recognized Diploma in Education with at least grade “B” average .

 

7. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Direct Entry Qualifications:

a)       Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) or East Africa Certificate of Education (Ordinary level) OR equivalent, with passes in 5 approved subjects, obtained prior to the sitting of ACSEE .

b)       At least 2 A- level principal passes in Accountancy, Commerce, Economics or Mathematics.

Equivalent Qualifications: A pass in a relevant advanced diploma plus an average pass grade “B” or a credit passes at a diploma level .
